35 Techniques of Degas • DPTT173W35

A founder of the Impressionist movement, Edgar Degas’ paintings reflect a unique perspective that propelled him to fame. This workshop introduces you to Degas' style and techniques, with special focus on the way he combined Realistic and Impressionist styles, and how Japanese prints influenced his work. Instruction includes lecture, demonstration and student practice with one-on-one help. Students may work in the medium of their choice (oil, pastel, charcoal, etc).

Supply list
Painting tools:
Your preference, e.g. pencil, pen, charcoal (with fixative), water colors, pastel, ink or oils (with odorless thiner), brushes, etc.
Your preference, e.g. thicker paper (white or colored), rice paper, panel or canvas for oil. Any kind of soft eraser (for oil, soft cloth )
