Created in Victorian England and refined in Japan within the last century, Oshibana is an art form that utilizes fresh pressed flowers to create elegant designs. The flowers are used as design elements, either by themselves or assembled into “paintings.” Oshibana works range from floral designs to scenes that resemble landscapes with mountains made of petals and forests of ferns and leaves.
